Regular preventive maintenance by our certified engineers keeps your equipment performing at its best, minimising the risk of downtime and project delays. In the event of a breakdown, our factory-trained engineers quickly restore functionality using OEM parts. Our Service Contracts offer flexible options that simplify planning and control costs.
Our Service Contracts
Millennium Science offers Preventative Maintenance and Validation (PM&V) services under three distinct tiers to suit varying needs.
Stand-alone PM&V option is available as a non-contract, one-time service for customers seeking a single maintenance and validation service.
For ongoing support, we offer two levels of service contracts, available as single or multi-year agreements (1-3 years). The multi-year option provides a convenient “set and forget” benefit, where we handle all scheduling of PM&V visits, plus an additional discount for committing to multiple years.
Standard Service Contract includes an annual PM&V, a 10% discount on additional engineer time and spare parts, and priority support.
Comprehensive Service Contract covers the annual PM&V, with all other unplanned costs during the contract period being fully covered (FOC), ensuring fixed and predictable costs. This option also includes enhanced priority support.
Jomar Life Research has evolved into Millennium Science
Company update - Jomar Life Research is now Millennium Science
On September 14th 2020, Millennium Science and Jomar Life Research united to form Australia and New Zealand’s premier life science supply business.
Millennium Science Pty Ltd, a leading supplier of biomedical research instrumentation, and Jomar Life Research, a major supplier of life science kits and reagents, will form a strategic alliance under common ownership to provide Australian and New Zealand researchers improved access to research technologies and supplies.
As of April 1st 2024, our company will only be trading under the Millennium Science name and ABN.
Therefore we will no longer take any orders under the Jomar Life Research ABN. All previous Jomar Life Research products will need to be ordered with Millennium Science instead.
PacBio Onso short read sequencer
PacBio Onso sequencer
PacBio’s Onso is only $182,500*, meaning it is the most cost-effective bench-top sequencer.
Onso’s superior accuracy makes it a powerful tool for any sequencing application and workflow – from basic research to clinical diagnostics.
The system’s user-friendly interface and robust performance makes it a standout choice for researchers and clinicians seeking reliable and advanced sequencing solutions.
Revolutionary sequencing chemistry
- Bases at Q40+
Low sequencing noise = improved accuracy - Sequence through difficult/repetitive regions
Better resolution of homopolymer regions - Library conversion kits
Create Onso-compatible libraries from existing P5/P7 libraries with a single PCR reaction - Low duplication rate
Less sequencing redundancy
- Lower input requirements
Conserve your precious samples - Negligible index hopping
Reduced index mis-assignments
Onso brings cost-effective batching to benchtop sequencing across all applications
What can Q do for you?
PacBio’s sequencing by bind (SBB) consistently achieves Q40+ quality scores, and fewer than 1 error in 10,000 bases and the quality reaches Q50+ for much of the read, compared to the lower Q scores of Sequencing by synthesis (SBS).
Onso demonstrates unparalleled resolution, helping to uncover true variants at lower sequencing depth and also detect rare mutation events that cannot be detected at all by SBS due to its higher error rates.
